Positive Change: Day 5

Today is the fifth day of May. I have been doing postive change each day. I have been busy so I will recap May 2-5.
For May 2, I decided to break my usual routine of sleeping in on aSaturday. I got up early and drove to RR to see my friends. It was a nice little getaway. Plus, I got my table.
I decided on May 3 to talk to a stranger. Normally, I head to the Friendly Mart for my Sunday newspaper. I usually say hi and thank you to the clerk. I actually asked her how she was doing. We talked about the weather.
For May 4, I decided I wanted to break my habit of hitting the snooze button. This always causes me to end up leaving the house late in the morning for work. I only hit it once and arrived at work 25 minutes early.
Today, my positive change was to wear a color that I don’t normally wear. As I write this, I am wearing a yellow t-shirt. I think I look cute. Yellow is usually not my thing. It has been interesting coming up with something to do each day.
It helps me to forget how tired I am. I am getting to the point that I have forgotten what not being tired feels like. I would take some time off but it would just put me behind. If I can get through this weekend, everything will soon go back to semi-normal. This is Carolina Strawberry Festival weekend! And Saturday, I will spend a big chunk of my day taking photos and interviewing folks. At least, I get cheesecake on a stick!

DAILY DOSE
1. My bed is so cozy!
2. Sunkist Grape Soda still rocks!
3. Eating outside on a nice day!

Comments

  1. You are pushing yourself and that is awesome! Sometimes it's the little things and when you add them all up it's gets big.

  2. I think this is so great! I think more of us should do this, it can help to make the day a little brighter when you are focused on positive things more. I know it's something that I could use in my life :)
