I will not bow

After a grueling Monday, I decided to keep today light and airy by working on stories from yesterday meeting. I found out about a second home invasion. I have to say home invasion scare me because they are so random and can be so brutal. This one involved a man being shot and having to be airlifted.
It reminds me that I really need to be mindful of my surroundings not only during the day but especially at night.
It’s officially! I am addicted to the mocha joe from Burger King. I had one with my chili at lunch today. I am not as sad or stressed as last week.

Taking things one day at a time is the way to go. I am working on some realistic resolutions for 2010. I have been testing the waters of jogging a few days a week. I would like to run a 5K next year. When I jog, it clears my head for a few minutes. Of course, I have to do first thing in the morning because usually I am covering something at night. Another resolution is to seriously learn how to swim. And finally get my finances in order. All of these are very realistic things.

Daily Dose
1. Mocha Joes rock!
2. Having access to iTunes radio on my computer.
Watching old episodes of Grey’s Anatomy while waiting for new ones. I have seen them a million times but they are still good. The sign of a really great show.

  1. I'm glad you're not as sad or stressed as last week. You seemed a bit down. I think it is one thing at a time. How is the jogging? Have you found it hard to exercise in a healthy way?

I agree that home invasion is super scary! People always worry about the stuff on those CSI shows, but just "regular" burglaries are what's really terrifying!

    Enjoy the writing :)

  2. I like jogging. It is just a matter of getting out of bed early enough to do it.
