Celebrating with the birthday boy!!

When I was in my 20s and 30s, I used to go out clubbing a lot. It was nothing to go out on Sunday night, come home early Monday morning, eat breakfast at Denny’s and go to class or work. It was one of the joys of being young.
Well, I am in my 40s now. I can stay up all night once in a blue moon. My son JJ turned nine on Sunday. I had made the trip to SC to celebrate with him.
JJ took this photo of me!

I was suppose to leave at 6 p.m. Sunday to head for home.
Selecting movies for movie night!

I can’t resist those pretty brown eyes. I stayed and got up at 2:30 a.m. this morning and made the drive home. I had time to stop by apartment, take a quick shower, get dress and head to work.
I feel like the gum on the bottom of someone’s shoe but I got to spend some extra time with him. You only turn nine once so you might as well be goofy with your mom.
Goofing around in the grocery store!
Overall, it was a good weekend. I am looking forward to a longer visit at Christmas time with him.
DAILY DOSE
1. Having fun with JJ!
2. The power of good strong coffee!
3. Feeling so blessed to have a healthy child!

Comments

  1. Exhausting, but I know it was worth it!!! I can't hang like I used to either. Those days are gone.
